Information & Awareness Creation

GROWTH establishes and supports public libraries and information services to both children and adults. Information, education and awareness creation are pursued through the production of radio programmes, through audiovisuals, films and newsletters.

Community meetings and outreach programmes are held to get in contact, inform and involve individuals and communities.

GROWTH is engaged in educational work on issues like health and sanitation, the usage of local resources, the application and dissemination of appropriate technologies and awareness creation and confidence building on issues related to women. GROWTH encourages individuals, and local groups to develop own ideas on community development and to realise their projects.

Awareness of needs, constraints and prospects is an essential condition for self-determined and self-reliant community development. Awareness requires knowledge and information.
